What?
The unique Chagford Film Festival continues to go from strength to strength. We’ve got an amazing line-up of eclectic films, special guests (including Oscar winners!), quirky events and hands-on workshops to suit all ages and tastes.
When?
The festival takes place every year during the last week of September with events throughout the daytime and evening. We kick off with an opening night gala on Monday and finish with a spectacular street event on Saturday.
Where?
Chagford is a lively and creative community in the heart of the stunning Dartmoor National Park in Devon, SW England. There are loads of great pubs, cafes, restaurants and accommodation. Films and events take place in various venues in and around the town.
How?
Tickets will be available on this website from Friday August 18 to Friends of the Festival and on general release from Monday, August 21.
The jewel of Dartmoor
Nestled in the hills of north eastern Dartmoor, with the wild and open moor, rivers and stone circles just a few minutes’ drive away, why not come down for a week and combine some films with bracing hikes on the moor? (Followed by a Devon cream tea of course!)

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out here! There are four thriving pubs, and many cafes, shops and delis all serving delicious food and drink. All are situated around the historic town square so it’s only a couple of minutes walk to your film afterwards!
