Jaws in the Pool

On Sunday 27th August, Chagford Film Festival and Chagford Swimming Pool are staging a joint outdoor showing of the classic horror movie Jaws, with seating in and around the pool.

The full programme includes:

  • Swimming with Sharks
  • Live Music
  • Hog Roast
  • Poolside Mocktail Bar
  • Jaws shown on a giant 10m x 4m screen

Tickets are now on sale at The Globe box office 01647 433485 and from Sally’s newsagents

Entry £12 including swimming

Hog roast £3.50

The evening starts at 7pm with a swimming session among inflatable sharks, followed by a hog roast or vegetarian alternative. A poolside Mocktail bar will be open until the film begins at 8.30pm.

There will be seating all around the shallow end of the pool and the screen will be at the deep end. A limited number of rubber rings will be available for purchase on a first come, first served basis. These will allow brave viewers to watch while floating in the shallow end of the heated pool.

Please be aware that the following rules need to be obeyed in order to comply with insurance requirements:

  • Age 16 and over only
  • Strictly no alcohol allowed on site

Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the evening for your comfort and safety. There is limited parking available at the pool so please walk or make other arrangements.
