The Lead Actors and Director will introduce the film, and offer a Q and A

The film festival is particularly proud to present this film, shot in a local Dartmoor farm and based on the award-winning stage play by Devon playwright Bea Roberts. Set during the 2001 Foot and Mouth disease outbreak which caused such devastation across rural communities, the film centres on the friendship between Michael, a traditional farmer, and Jeff the local vet, who is put in charge of culling his herd. Despite the tragic circumstances, this film finds humour and warmth in their relationship, making it an uplifting and moving portrait of a dark time. Bea, the director Paul Robinson and the two leading actors Nigel Hastings and David Fielder, together with many of the other cast and crew, will be in Chagford on the night to introduce the film and to host a Q&A session afterwards. It really does promise to be a special evening.
